The coronavirus is such a troublesome thing that I'm not sure if this expression is appropriate in today's world.

Still, with the new year coming, I don't feel heavy-hearted, and I hope to be able to face another year with a fresh mind.

The reason why a day, a month, and a year seem to pass quickly as we become adults is because our daily lives are more mundane and there is less stimulation than when we were children.
